In Memoriam
We honour our fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, wives and husbands, children and grandparents, close friends and school mates. Some travelled overseas during
World War II and many returned, too, from frequent call-ups to the Bush where strong friendships were forged. Some have seen their three-score years plus 10, but others remain forever young. They all savoured the scent of the first rain after a scorching October, the first flush of red Msasa trees. The sharp whistle of the alert buck, the clatter of the Guinea Fowl getting airborne or the soothing call of the dove in the distance. Most of all, those rich sunsets are unrivalled.
